At Estrella High School, we prepare students for success in college, career, and life. Our graduation requirements meet Arizona State Board of Education standards while providing the academic foundation students need to achieve their post-secondary goals.
22 Credits
Minimum required for graduation
English 9, 10, 11, 12
Must include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II
Must include Biology, Chemistry, and one additional lab science
World History, U.S. History, American Government, Economics
PE and Health Education
Art, Music, or Career & Technical Education
Additional courses based on student interests
Students must pass the Arizona Civics Test, which is based on the U.S. naturalization test. A passing score of 60/100 questions is required.
Arizona requires students to receive training in CPR and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) prior to graduation.
Students must maintain satisfactory attendance throughout their high school career to remain on track for graduation.
While the above requirements meet Arizona graduation standards, students planning to attend a four-year university should consider additional coursework. Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) universities recommend:
