The Social Studies department at Estrella High School prepares students to be informed, engaged citizens who understand their role in local, national, and global communities. Through the study of history, government, economics, and geography, students develop critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of the world around them.
Our courses emphasize primary source analysis, historical thinking skills, civic engagement, and the connections between past events and contemporary issues. We prepare students for college success and active participation in democratic society.
